Greater Tucson Leadership kicked off its 36th year with the Class of 2017 retreat on Friday, Aug. 19th. GTL is a nonprofit, nonpartisan leadership organization dedicated to inspiring, developing and promoting leadership that impacts the greater Tucson region. It is a partner of the Tucson Metro Chamber.
GTL programming is designed to inspire a new generation of local leaders to understand and appreciate community service, work for the common good and empower others to create positive changes. Each year individuals from diverse fields and backgrounds are selected through a competitive application process to participate in the 10-month community leadership series beginning in August and ending in June. The program offers increased awareness and understanding of our community, leadership skills development, civic and community engagement, and a broader network of relationships.
